Interrogation revealed that she was in contact with a terrorist named Abu Ubaidah. It is reported that Babita had even performed an online Nikah (marriage ceremony) with him and converted to Islam. She wanted to go to Pakistan after the marriage. She had attempted to obtain a passport for this purpose, but since she rarely stepped out of the house and did not hold a job, Abu Ubaidah was devising a new plan to bring her to Pakistan.

The mobile phone seized from Babita by the ATS has uncovered several details regarding her terrorist connections. Two SIM cards were found in the device. Additionally, a suspicious Facebook account under the name ‘Duniya Dhokhebaaz’ (Deceitful World) was found logged in on her phone; security agencies flagged the activities associated with this account as suspicious, leading to her arrest.
Reasons for suspicion regarding these pages
Images of weapons: The profile of this suspicious Facebook account featured numerous images of modern weaponry.
Pakistani friends: Approximately 370 friends were connected to this account, the majority of whom were Pakistani or other foreign nationals. One of these friends even displayed the official flag of the banned organization Jaish-e-Mohammed on their profile.
WhatsApp chats: Concrete evidence was found of ongoing chats and calls between Babita’s WhatsApp account and numbers from Pakistan and Afghanistan. Intelligence indicates contact with Ustad Gauri, brother-in-law of Masood.
Security agencies are now scrutinizing Babita’s entire network to determine how many other women are linked to the ‘Jamat-ul-Muminat’ wing in Rajasthan or other parts of India, and what their targets were. According to security agencies, Babita was also in contact with Ustad Gauri, the brother-in-law of Jaish-e-Mohammed founder Azhar Masood.
